For the past five years, Aleksi Tiihonen of Ermail Oy has rented apartments for his projects from Spot Apartments. Flexibility and a customer-first approach are the accommodation partner’s strongest assets.

Ermail Oy is an industrial painting company that works mainly at shipyards, specialising in industrial surface treatment. Aleksi Tiihonen has been a project manager at Ermail for seven and a half years.

“It feels like the shipyard industry has been bringing a lot of work our way lately. That’s great.”

More work means more demands on the size and mobility of the workforce. At Ermail, headcount varies with the season, and the company relies heavily on agency workers.

“As a rule, the staffing agencies take care of accommodation too. When an agency doesn’t offer it, we arrange temporary housing ourselves. A colleague came across Spot years ago and tipped me off that it would be worth getting in touch.”

“We’ve been a customer for about five years now. The number of apartments ranges from a few to dozens, depending on the season. Milla Hampori has been our contact person. She’s always happy to help and her communication is clear. I can’t remember a single time they couldn’t offer us something!”

Long-term customer relationships are at the heart of how Spot works. The aim is to help customers succeed in their projects through smooth teamwork, and to be a long-term accommodation partner for companies.

“Having your own contact person makes things so much easier! When you call Milla, she already knows you. Mostly we just go over the location and the number of apartments. The invoicing details and everything else are already on file. When you call Milla, you can trust that things will get sorted.”

“Spot is also flexible when projects run over or a planned stay turns out to be shorter. That’s a really big plus.”
